Ski centre Rokytnice nad Jizerou

Rokytnice nad Jizerou belongs to the most favourite ski resorts in the western part of the Giant Mountains. The local association of ski lift and chair lift´s keepers (that are Spartak Rokytnice, Inc., Skiservis Udatný, skiarea Pařez, skiarea Modrá Hvězda and skiarea Bahýnka) have 24 ski lifts, two four-chair lifts and over 22 km of ski slopes of all level of difficulty. You can use 57 km of ski running tracks in the Rokytnice´s surroundings that are connected the Giant Mountains road. The biggest keeper is Spartak Rokytnice, Inc. that owns skiareas Horní Domky and Studenov.

The skiarea is located on the south hillside of Lysá hora and it is favourite due to its variability and the width of ski slopes that are 100 m wide in some places. The skiarea was modernized in 2006. The old T-bar ski lift in the entrance to the area was replaced with a new four-chair lift going from the parking place Rokytka to the cottage Lovčenka in Horní Domky. The big entrance hall with sanitary facilities, restaurant, commercial rooms and four cash desks that allow quick check-in is the part of a chair lift. There is a new restaurant at the chair-lift to Lysá Hora. The prohibition of snowboarders is over. Spartak Rokytnice, Inc. received the permission for a determinate period from the management of KRNAP. So it is up to the behaviour of snowboarders and skiers if Spartak Rokytnice receive the permission for an indefinite period. And for that reason there is a Skipatrol guard in an area that has the law to fine the skiers and snowboarders for leaving the ski slopes up to CZK 1.000,-. There are two chair lifts, 6 ski lifts and a new kidpark with babysitting service.
Skiarea Studenov is located nearby the centre of Rokytnice nad Jizerou. It is suitable for beginners and medium experienced skiers. It is popular also for the snowboarders because of its lengthy hills. In Studenov there are other two ski lift´s keepers - Skiservice Udatný and skiarea Pařez. There are ten bar ski lifts and two T-bar ski lifts.
Skiarea Modrá hvězda and Bahýnka is situated nearby the Upper square. The areas are suitable for families with children and beginners. There are four bar ski lifts.
There are ski and snowboard rental, skiservices, ski schools, restaurants and fast foods in all Rokytnice´s skiareas or in their close proximity. Free skibus goes through all the town in 15 - 20 minutes intervals. Other free skibus goes between central parking place and skiarea Horní Domky. The diurnal central parking places in Rokytnice nad Jizerou are free.
Day ticket bought in skiarea Horní Domky is valid in areas of all Rokytnice´s keepers mentioned above. These keepers are also the members of SKIREGION.CZ so the point´s and more days´tickets are valid in Rokytnice nad Jizerou, Harrachově, Paseky nad Jizerou, Rejdice and Příchovice.
