Krkonose musem

Exhibition of the Krkonose museum Paseky nad Jizerou introduces rich cultural and social traditions of the village, history of manufacturing, life and works of writer and musician Venceslav Metelka. Continual exposition "History of the Krkonose violin school". Folk handmade producs with show of weaving. Thematic exhibitions. In1958 was built in the pastorate building monument "Pamatnik zapadlych vlastencu" - memory of the writer and violin-maker Venceslav Metelka. It commemorates also writer K.V. Rais who wrote about life in Paseky in the roman "Zapadli vlastenci". In 1975 was the monument reconstructed according to the PhDr. Jaromir Jech. In 1978 was extened of two other rooms on the floor of the building. One is used as exhibition hall with two workable weaving looms. There is a exhibition of Krkonose violin school in the second room. Rich collection of music instruments from the founder Venceslav Metelka till present.
