Augustian Monastery

Vrchlabi has the beautiful Augustinian Monastery which was established in 1705 by Maxmilian from Morzin. After his death continued in his work his brother Vaclav. Augustinian Monastery was built in baroque style with  classicism elements according to a project of the Austrian builder Matyas Auera and was finished in 1725. The monastery church  dedicated bishop Mauricius Adolf Karel from Pharsal on September 27, 1733. Today, there is the Krkonose Musem in the former residential building.
