Horní Domky cable car in Rokytnice nad Jizerou

Thanks to the Horní Domky cable car, it is possible to bring tourists and cyclists closer to the main Krkonoše hiking and cycling trails. The Horní Domky cable car (A1) leads from the corner of the Rokytka car park to the Lovčenka cottage in Horní Domky.
Tourists and cyclists can take a number of trips around Rokytnice nad Jizerou and the Giant Mountains - the source of the Elbe 7 km, Mohyla Hanče and Vrbaty 4.5 km, Dvoračky 2.5 km, Harrachov 4 km, Huťský waterfall 2 km.

The cable car will take bicycles, prams, dogs for free. The cable car also balances bikers and bicycles to the adjacent bike park. Two routes are open - a lighter obstacle course, a heavier downhill route. A discounted day ticket is intended for bikers. There is a rope center next to the cable car.

The cable car is 2 km away from the center of Rokytnice nad Jizerou.

Cable car to Čertova hora in Harrachov - to meet mammoth experiences

The four-seater cable car, which is in operation all year round, rises to a height of over 1000 meters above sea level. In addition, the profile of the mammoth bridge for ski flights, the only one in our country and one of the six in the world, can be viewed from the immediate vicinity from the chairlift seat.

Transport to Čertova hora is provided by two four-seater cable cars. Harrachov - Čertova hora (Delta) cable car in the center and Rýžoviště - Čertova hora (Alfa) cable car. The Delta cable car is a modern four-seater cable car with a boarding carpet.

The cable car with 130 four-seater seats measures 1303 meters, the lower station is 665, the upper 1022 meters above sea level. The transport capacity reaches 1782 people per hour, the ride takes about 9 minutes. The Harrachov cable car serves tourists all year round, in winter especially for skiers and cross-country skiers, in the summer it will serve cyclists and hikers. The top of the Devil's Mountain is a perfect place to start the trip, but also for a beautiful view of the surrounding countryside.

The largest recreation center in the western Giant Mountains, Harrachov, can take great care of its guests even in summer. A children's park has been built at the lower station of the cable car, which is full of children's fun all summer long. The park consists of a large wooden castle and a giant inflatable trampoline. Admission to the children's park is free with a ticket to Devil's Mountain. The ticket can also be purchased separately at the cable car box office. Entry is not limited in time.

Even Sněžka (1,603 m) as the highest mountain in the Czech Republic can be easily reached by cable car. It will take you from the Giant Mine in Pec pod Sněžkou to the intermediate station to Růžová hora (1,354 m), from where you can continue driving to the top of Sněžka or take the final section on your own.

Other hills in the Krkonoše Mountains also offer comfortable access without long kilometers and hundreds of meters of elevation gain, which is therefore the starting point for a number of ridge tours. The Černohorský expres cable car will take you from Janské Lázně to Černá hora (1,299 m), from where you can continue by bike or on foot, for example to Černohorské rašeliniště.

We have already talked about Pec pod Sněžkou and the cable car to Sněžka, another cable car from Pec leads to the lookout tower on Hnědý vrch. From Špindlerův Mlýn, you can take a trip to Pláně or Medvědín - and believe me, there is no more convenient way to the springs of the Elbe! Nice views also await you on Čertova hora (1,021 m), where a cable car from Harrachov and the Žalý lookout tower will take you; there is a cable car from Herlíkovice again.

We must not forget the Horní Domky cable car in Rokytnice nad Jizerou, which will take you below Ručičky (however, the cable car to Lysá hora in the Krkonoše Mountains runs only in winter).
