The treetop trail was created on the outskirts of Janské Lázně in the Giant Mountains. The lookout tower, which offers views of the surrounding trees and Janské Lázně, is 45 meters high, the horizontal part of the trail is located at a height of 24 meters. You will walk 1,511 meters along the treetop route, which can be reached by a water slide.
This year, visitors can look forward to a truly adrenaline-fueled experience if they do not suffer from phobias from heights. A flexible net has been installed directly in the floor of the horizontal sidewalk, on which it is possible to jump safely between the treetops. The network covers an area of 21 square meters and can carry up to 500 kg per square meter.
Another bonus for visitors to the trail will be a new menu of local restaurant specialties. As well as the permanent menu, it will be prepared from fresh ingredients, which are more than 80% from local suppliers in the region.
Visitors will set off on the Trail route from the roots, through a hanging path and a unique underground cave to the treetops at the top of the lookout tower. Unlike a regular trip to the forest, the Giant Mountains Treetop Trail will show them the forest from a different perspective and the unique underground exhibition will offer them the opportunity to study the microworld of the soil. From the top of the trail it is possible to enjoy views of the treetops of the mixed Krkonoše forest and the surrounding landscape.
The way down can then be significantly accelerated by riding in a water slide, whose tube with a diameter of one meter is 80 meters long. The water slide was originally intended for children, but it is widely used by all visitors, including seniors. So far, the oldest toboggan rider was a respectable 85 years. In nice weather it is possible to reach a speed of up to 30 km / h in the water slide, in bad weather it is not possible to go down the water slide. The speed that could be achieved (with the support of rainy water) could reach up to 80 km / h. In April and May it will be open from 9:30 to 18:00, admission costs 280 CZK.
